Application
1.Ortho Tertiary Butyl Phenol (OTBP) is used as an intermediate to make perfumery ingredients ortho tertiary butyl cyclohexyl acetate (OTBCHA) and 2-tert butyl cyclohexanol (OTBCH)
2.Used as a raw material to make synthetic oil-based resins
3.OTBP is used as a raw material in the agrochemical industry for some insecticides.
4.Ortho-tertiary-butyl-phenol/2 tert butylphenol is widely used as an antioxidant. This compound was manufactured and evaluated as an intravenous anaesthetic agent. It has applications in a wide variety of industries including- consumer use, flame retardant, perfumery, fuel, lubricants, automotive care, manufacturing oils, plastics, coals and raw materials for various applications (eg: cosmetics, chemical manufacturing, production of chemicals, etc)
